My name is Cate and I am a 25 year old graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Theatre and Psychology. I live in the fabulous city of Chicago and am working to figure out what I am going to do with my life.

In January 2009 I decided that I needed to make a change in how I live my life. I have lost over 100 pounds and 40 inches off my body and am living a healthy, happy life.
My journey has not been easy the whole time, there are ups and downs, like everything else in life, but I try to focus on the good moments and successes I have had. I am not a professional or anything and still have more to lose, but I have discovered some healthy tools for living that have worked for me and wanted a place to share my story.
I am working on living my best life and good food, supportive people, exercise, and a positive outlook are helping me do just that.
I love running and have completed several road races, including three half marathons and a marathon. I try to eat a balanced diet, but make sure to enjoy sweet treats and try not to cut out any specific type of food. I like to stay well informed and learn new things about health, research studies, foods, the environment, technology, fun facts, etc.
This blog is dedicated to that, because I believe that everyone deserves to be good to themselves, and live a happy, healthy life!
